Where does the group meet?
In the Main Hall of St George’s Parish Centre, Church Road, Wembdon TA6 7RR. Free car parking is available immediately opposite the centre, in the church car park, or on the road.
Mondays in school term time 10.00 – 11.30am
What does it cost?
£1.00 per week for 1 adult +1 child; plus 50p for each additional child. This goes towards providing drinks, snacks and craft materials. Cash only please!
What if I am late or can’t come one week?
We know that sometimes things don’t go according to plan, so please join us as soon as you can! If you don’t
come for a couple of weeks, we will try to get in touch to check if you are ok, and that you still want to be part of the group.
Is there a waiting list?
We may need to start a waiting list if there are more people who want to come than we can safely accommodate.
Do you have to belong to St George’s Church? I am not a religious person….
No – the group is open to all members of our local community, and we hope that everyone who comes will feel very welcome. The Footsteps team are part of the church family and would be happy to chat with you about church life, other events & activities that are going on, or any questions that you or your family have about the Christian faith. We will include some Bible stories and songs in our sessions.
Can I bring my older children if they are off school for INSET day?
No – sorry we are not able to include school-age children in any of the sessions, for reasons of space & safety of the younger children. Also, if you or your child have had a sickness bug (diarrhea and/or vomiting), please do not come to Footsteps until you are 48 hours clear of symptoms.
I’m a childminder – can I come along?
Our intended focus is to reach & support the immediate family (parents/grandparents) of babies and toddlers in our local community, so they will have priority if demand is high. If we have capacity, we may be able to include childminders, with max. of 2 children per childminder.
