Accessibility

We welcome all to St Georges and want to help each person to take part fully in church life, whether you are a visitor or a regular member of our church family. Here are some of the things we have in place. Do ask if you have questions about anything else.

There is step-free access into the church and Parish Centre, with ramps for internal steps. We have a wheelchair available if you should need one in church. There are also designated seating areas in the church which are movable, to accommodate people who need / wish to remain in their wheelchairs, and we are very happy to arrange this.

The church is fitted with a loop system for people with hearing aids. The words for the morning service are projected onto screens.

The church building has a toilet but the nearest accessible toilet is in the Parish Centre which is across the road from the church. That is where we have coffee and tea after the morning service and other church meetings during the week.

Where our services include Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper), gluten-free bread and non-alcoholic juice are available.

If you have a child with special needs who would like to be part of our children’s Sunday school, please do let us know how we can work together to make this happen.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or concerns by contacting our church office office@sgw.org.uk and 01278 423468
