Children @ St George’s

We have lots of things happening for children at St George’s because…

We want everyone from 0-18 to become a disciple of Jesus Christ by hearing the good news and being helped to respond with faith in Jesus Christ.

On Sundays, we have groups especially designed to help children engage with God through bible teaching, games, songs and activities.

Anyone with children who are 0-15 please come along to our church building together. During the service you will hear about what the children’s groups will do that day. About 15mins into our service, the children will then leave the church and go together to their groups.

0-5s Creche – meet in the Parish centre with Scramblers

5-7s SCRAMBLERS – meet in the Parish Centre (please ask any of our welcome team for more information).

8-10s EXPLORERS – meet in the Parish Centre (please ask our welcome team for more information).

11-15s – PATHFINDERS – meet in the Parish Centre (please see youth page).

Once a month on the 2nd Sunday of the month we have a service that is designed for all ages. This is a great opportunity for us to be a Church family learning together.

This club is designed for ANY 8-11 year old in our area. Full of crazy games and creative crafts, we will spend our time investigating who Jesus is. If you love having fun and enjoy investigating truth come along. We would love to see you there. Find out when our next evening is.

We run a big Holiday Bible Club once a year. Out of this World is our next Holiday bible club. The 3 day club runs 28th July-30th July for 2025.

We are also here to support parents in bringing up their children to know and love the Lord. Parents meet each term for an informal chat about a topic so that we can take the time to talk together, share thoughts, encouragements and struggles and pray together.

We have events throughout the year for families to come to. At Easter we had our Easter Story Trail and pop into the church and see us on Wembdon Village Day (Monday 25th August).

Our families and children’s worker Emma would love to hear from you. Please email her on familiesandchildren@sgw.org.uk
