Homegroups

Homegroups

Homegroups are groups of people who meet together to study the bible, pray and share each others company. St George's church has a number of homegroups that meet during the week throughout in and around Wembdon and Bridgwater.

All regular worshippers are encouraged to join homegroups to play a full part in church life. Homegroups are a great way to get to know people better and the caring supportive environment helps people grow as Christians.

If you are interested in joining a homegroup please email the church office, ring 01278 423468 or speak to the vicar Ed.

Services

Services

All of our sunday services have a strong emphasis on clear and relevant Bible teaching and a balance of contemporary and traditional music. If you are visiting for the first time we hope you will receive a warm and friendly welcome.

Sunday Morning 10.30am

The main Sunday morning service with children’s groups and crèche. Music is led by a band and coffee and tea are served after the service. Holy Communion is celebrated once a month at this service. Non-alcoholic wine and guten-free wafers are available.

Family Service

Once a month we join together as a whole church family for a shorter service, which is often more creative.

Sunday Evening 6.30pm

Evening Services are also welcoming and friendly, tend to be quieter and more reflective, and still informal enough for questions after the talk. See the programme card for occasional special services in the evening. Holy Communion is celebrated twice a month at the 6.30pm evening service.

Other services

Wednesday Holy Communion/Bible Study 10.30am

An informal communion alternating with a small group Bible study. Ask Church Office for details.

Newtown Kings

Newtown King's Church meets at St. George’s Hall in Kendale Road for an evening service at 6.30 p.m. on Sundays. Further information is available from Keith and Ann Barnard on 424329.
